Who is responsible
The controller for personal data on bestacdrives.com is Åland Drives & Controls, Blomstringevägen 4, AX-22120 Mariehamn, Åland, Finland (VAT FI34813587). Questions about your data: [email protected].
What we collect
When you send a quote request we store what you enter in the form: name, company, country, email, phone (optional), product, quantity and message. We also store the time of the request, your IP address and your browser's user agent to stop spam and misuse.
You can browse the site without giving us any personal data. Our servers keep short technical logs (IP address, page, time) for security.
Why we use it
- To answer your request and, if you order, to deliver and invoice (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b): steps before a contract).
- To protect the form against spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f): legitimate interest).
- To keep accounting records when you buy from us (Art. 6(1)(c): legal obligation).
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not add you to a newsletter.
Service providers
We use these companies to run the site. They process data only on our behalf:
- netcup GmbH, Germany – the server that runs the site and the database.
- Cloudflare, Inc. – network, security, spam check on the form (Turnstile) and visitor statistics without cookies (Web Analytics).
- Resend – sends the email copy of your request to us and the confirmation to you.
Cloudflare and Resend may process data in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site against bots.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not lead to an order are deleted after three years. If you order, we keep the records for as long as Finnish accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
